GU womens’ gymnastics hosts first meet

The American Farm Heritage Museum set the scene for the Panthers, first home meet of their inaugural season. Illinois State came to compete.

In front of a standing-room-only crowd, the Panthers started the competition on the vault. Amara Nelson scored a 9.700, tying for third. Rachel Miller followed Nelson with a 9.450.

The next event was the uneven bars. Sidnei Heubach led Greenville with a score of 9.425. Nelson also scored a 9.000. For more information see the January 24, 2023 edition of The Greenville Advocate.
