Hornets sting Comets

Apparently freeing up their patient, Princeton-style offense was just what Nashville needed.

Unfortunately for Greenville, it came one game too early.

The Hornets busted out of their slump by hitting 61% of their shots — many of them on layups — on their way to a 71-49 win over the Comets Tuesday night at Assembly Hall in Nashville.

The win was only the third in the last 11 games for the defending Class 2A state champs as they moved to 9-10 overall under their new coach Stote Reeder while Greenville dropped to 10-8 on the season as they head into the Litchfield Tournament.
