AMVETS POST 140 conducts the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Bond County Veterans Memorial. In case of inclement weather, after the changing of the flags, the ceremony will proceed to the First United Methodist Church on Second street. This year’s guest speaker will be Maj. Gen. David J. ANNUAL VETERAN’S DAY BBQ at Bond County Memorial VFW Post 1377 with food by Wes and Friends. Two dinners available, one for $10, a smaller one for $7. Dine in or carryout. Saturday, November 12

THE LITTLE BLUESTEM AND SILVER CREEK chapters of Quail Forever cosponsor a youth wing shooting clinic and pheasant hunt at Eldon Hazlet state recreation area. Open to boys and girls, ages 10-17, 4 feet 6 inches tall and weigh at least 75 pounds with current hunting license who have passed the Hunter Safety program. SIXTH ANNUAL DAVE MARTI MEMORIAL NINE-PIN BOWLING TOURNAMENT at 4th Street Lanes in Greenville; shifts at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Cost is $25 per person or $125 per team. This year’s proceeds benefit Brody Haston. For more, call 618-581-4559.

GRANTFORK UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST holds the 52nd annual sausage supper. Dinners include homemade pork sausage, mashed potatoes and milk gravy, sauerkraut, green beans and applesauce. Sausage for sale. All dinners $12.

GHS STUDENTS FALL PLAY, CLUE, in the school auditorium. Advance tickets $3 for students, $5 for adults, available at the Unit 2 High School office. Tickets are $1 more at the door.

WHEATFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT hosts their drive-through chicken dinner, The carryout meal of 1/2 chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, applesauce and slaw will be in the St. Felicitas Parish Hall in Beaver Prairie, 13322 Church Road, Carlyle.
